Andre Walter

Andre’s vision on privacy is that it goes beyond compliance – mastering the privacy challenge enables the delivery of sustainable digital opportunities.​

Andre is a seasoned privacy professional at the data protection & privacy practice at Baker McKenzie, Amsterdam. Previously, he had been Managing Consultant within the international cybersecurity & privacy practice of Capgemini Consulting. Before, Andre partnered with two international law (CMS) and auditing (KPMG) firms, worked as senior privacy program manager at Vodafone and as product manager in the CCTV recording industry.

Andre managed serval compliance projects and advised privacy projects in various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, aviation, telecom and retail. In summary, he has more than 10 years experience in risk & process management (privacy, SOX, PCI-DSS, business continuity), strategy formulation and policy implementation.

Andre completed a specialization course on European data protection law (GDPR) at Tilburg University (2015), holds an executive international MBA (Maastricht University, 2013) and a technical bachelor degree. He is on of the first 500 IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy globally, certified as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
