Biography

Kari A. Hintikka is making his PhD in University of Jyväskylä in Unit of Sociology. He graduated from the Media laboratory of Aalto University in Helsinki in 1998 with concept and usability design as major.

Hintikka’s work – like faction books and reports – and studies relate to collective intelligence, co-creation, education and learning, internet collaboration, social networks and ecosystems, open data and open science and the future of the Internet. He has participated as an expert member to several boards and committees including ministries and Sitra concerning issues information society and the future of Finland.

Kari A. Hintikka works as a researcher and usability designer in the Otava Folk High School, specialized in future trends of the Internet. Otava Folk School has served students from near and afar for over a century. Folk high schools are learning institutions where one can broaden one’s horizons. The education for all ideal is linked to our Nordic welfare state values.
