Biography

Katryna Dow is the founder and CEO of Meeco, a world leading data independence start-up in the emerging personal data economy. She speaks globally on privacy and data innovation alongside her executive role in business model innovation for Meeco Labs.

Meeco is dual sided personal data platform enables individuals to manage, share, provide consent and exchange personal information for mutual value via The API-of-Me.

Meeco was founded in 2012 and conceived over a decade ago as social networks were on the rise. Katryna envisioned a time when identity, personal sovereignty and contextual privacy would be as important as being connected. Now a decade later, personal clouds, mobile technology, AI and the Internet-of-Things have converged to make Meeco both possible and necessary.

Prior to Meeco Katryna consulted in strategy and execution roles for start-ups and enterprise, with subject matter expertise in strategy, psychographic segmentation, neuro-economics and change management. She has held leadership positions and delivered projects in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, United States and India. Her industry sector experience includes information technology, human resources, financial and health services.

She founded and bootstrapped Meeco, founded MeCast, and has successfully raised over AUD$4.8M in seed funding. In addition to leadership role with Meeco, she is actively involved in the IEEE Standards community, serving on two working groups as the Co-Chair for the Personal Data and Privacy Committee, part of The Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in the Design of Autonomous Systems, and Chair for the new P7006 – Standard for Personal Data Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agent.
