Biography

Maarten Louman is co-founder of the non-profit Qiy Foundation. He has been involved since 2008 and is one of the forerunners in the personal data industry.

Qiy Foundation is a non-profit foundation with a goal to offer self-determination to people and to offer innovative and effective services that increase mutual confidence between people and organisations, improve the quality of data, save costs, and preserve privacy. Working together with many people and organisations all over Europe, Qiy Foundation has developed a scheme with governance-, legal- and technical rules. Today a scalable and open infrastructure based on the Qiy Scheme is available for everyone who is interested to connect apps and applications to this Trust Framework.

Recently Dappre was introduced. Dappre is a safe, privacy-friendly app that makes use of the Qiy Trust Framework. With Dappre, you can safely keep your data in a “business card”. You can share this information with other people, but also with companies. At Dutch insurance company Aegon, you can securely connect to your data without logging in and control your relation with your trusted insurer.
