Niklas Vainio

Niklas (University of Turku) has been involved with various Internet-related research topics such as privacy, data protection, copyright and open source licensing for over ten years. In his on-going Ph. D. research Vainio studies how the rights to privacy and data protection are construed in the European telecommunications surveillance law. Before moving into the field of constitutional law, he studied the philosophical and sociological aspects of free and open source software communities at the University of Tampere.
