Suvi Remes

Suvi Remes appreciates good and effective information management practices. She is interested in organisational, cultural and strategic factors affecting those processes and data flows. Suvi is specialised in semantic interoperability issues and metadata. Currently, she is responsible for one of the Finnish Government Key Projects, Joint Metadata and Information Management, or Yhteinen tiedon hallinta (YTI) in Finnish, and works at the Ministry of Finance. The challenging but worthwhile goal is to develop a one-stop-shop service model for client-oriented usage of essential national databases. This includes the idea that people’s right to decide about and monitor their personal information will be enhanced, while ensuring the smooth transfer of data between the authorities. Suvi is looking forward to facilitate discussion on implementing MyData principles in public services.
