Biography

Valérie Peugeot is a “digital studies” researcher in a department of social sciences within the telecom company Orange. She carries projects around various topics such as collaborative economy, role of personal data within the digital economy, digital privacy, evolution of work and employment in the digital society, social and transition techs…

She’s also involved in Vecam, a non for profit structure, which for the last 20 years has been tackling social and policy issues related to the digital society. Vecam is promoting the development of knowledge commons.

Furthermore, after acting for three years (2013-2015) as vice president of the French Digital Council, she joined in April 2016 the CNIL, the French data protection authority, where she is in charge of health data issues.
