Wilfried Pimenta is Business Development Director at the IOTA Foundation, the non-profit organisation behind the IOTA Tangle, a revolutionary open source “blockless” Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) designed to enable highly scalable Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Wilfried will present IOTA’s vision and ongoing activities in eHealth, in particular a new initiative around MyData involving several Nordic countries. Taking its roots in Norway, the initiative was addressed in Oslo Norway in June 2017 at an unique Blockchain/DLT event organised by IOTA and Oslo Medtech with the contribution of the EU Commission where the opportunity landscape of DLT beyond Blockchain in eHealth was explored. A new DLT Research and Innovation Alliance was launched at that occasion involving the IOTA Foundation, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Oslo Medtech, Oslo Cancer Cluster, the Norwegian Research Center for eHealth and Alpha Venturi (see weblink)
